Clash Of Champions – September, Sunday Week 4 (Columbus, Ohio)

So with all the titles on the line, this was a show with 9 title matches. However on the day I played out this PPV on the WWE 2K22 game, it was EXTREMELY hot! To the point my PS4 sounded like it was going to take off and fly, such was the volume coming from the console’s fan… So I only actually played out 3 of the matches on the show… but with those included, here’s what went down…
We opened with a triple threat match…

With not one but TWO challengers to contend with, the odds seemed stacked against Charlotte… but… The Queen seems to always find a way…

As you may be able to work out from this image, with Gonzalez on the outside, Flair took advantage and used a steel chair to beat down Belair, get the pin, and to retain her SmackDown Women’s Championship!

Next we had the US title on the line…

I had Priest go over here. As much as maybe Ali and Retribution (given I took T-Bar from them) might of needed a belt, it just wasn’t time for Priest to drop it here.
Next it was the turn of the blue brand’s tag titles to be on the line…

It just had to be The Usos here. I’ve given a mini-push to Gable & Otis in my tv leading to this PPV, but I’d have it be a case of close but no cigar. I’m still not sure who, when or even IF I’ll stop the Reign of the Bloodline…
A fatal 4 way next up…

I went with Rhea Ripley to retain the Raw Women’s title here, I’d of had her pin Io after Becky and Asuka took one another out. But this would’ve been a big banger and a showcase for all 4 women involved.
Next title match would see recently crowned IC Champion Shinsuke Nakamura defend against number 1 contender Pete Dunne.

Nakamura retains here. Good solid match, but not to be for Dunne.
A really good match-up follows, with the Raw Tag Team titles at stake…

RK-Bro retain. Another good match by worth contenders, but just don’t feel it’s time for Riddle and Orton to drop the titles yet. Not too sure on my plans for this team long term, but I’m excited about it as they are both two of my favourites.
Woman’s tag titles next (yes in MY WWE world they DO in fact exist…)…

Tegan and Shotzi retain against the reunited team fka ‘Fire & Desire’. i do have long term plans for the women’s tag titles, so now it’s time to keep Nox and Shotzi with the straps.
A HUGE rematch next up…

I thought this match turned out fairly well. I don’t really like beating big Keith, but needs must here. Edge needed a proper win to get his run as champion really going, and it helped my story with Lee being busted open before he finally succumbed. The Rated R Era continues…

This little extra bit after the match might mean I can tell a different story now, with regards to what’s next for Lee now his time in the WWE Title picture is done for now…
AND FINALLY… THE MAIN EVENT!!!

And that was my Clash Of Champions PPV then… Yes I know, all titles retained… but honestly I didn’t want to have a change for the sake of it, or have that mess up my longer term plans. So now at least I look onwards to the next PPV, (THE HORROR SHOW AT) Extreme Rules… I’ve a feeling already that this is gonna be without question an EXTREME occasion…
And my first active use in my Universe Mode, of THE BEAST…

Josh.
