Can’t quite believe that we are almost done with the series, but it is time for our penultimate PLE of my WWE 2K24 Universe Mode! And in this time of me steamrolling through the stories we are telling, let me firstly run you through the card for the show, and a little background as to why they are happening, as we have our final stop before we go on to the show of shows…
Women’s Elimination Chamber match for the Women’s World Championship: Becky Lynch (C) vs Rhea Ripley vs Asuka vs Iyo Sky vs Bayley vs Liv Morgan

To kick off the show, the women’s turn in the chamber will see 6 of the top names in WWE’s women’s division fight for the chance to walk in to WrestleMania as the Women’s World Champion. We know that the Women’s Rumble winner Bianca Belair is on her way to WrestleMania already, but who COULD be her potential championship match opponent? Becky Lynch, having just won the title from her rival Rhea Ripley, now faces a huge task to take it onto the grandest stage of them all. Former champion Rhea Ripley has an immediate chance at reclaiming her title, albeit not a straightforward rematch with the champion. But given her past accomplishments, this wont be a match that fazes Mami one bit! Asuka has done it all in WWE… BUT win an Elimination Chamber match… Can the Empress of Tomorrow add another feat to her incredible record in this match? But she faces further competition from two of her Damage CTRL stablemates, and with both Bayley and Iyo Sky being former champions (as well as Bayley having won the first ever women’s chamber match with… a certain BOSS tag team partner…), the competition is as fierce as the chamber itself. And last, but by no means least, we have Liv Morgan. People seem to always doubt her, and against 5 of the best women in WWE here, the odds are against her once again, but I guess all we can do, is WATCH HER!
AEW Tag Team Championship: Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) (C)

A match in ‘WWE’ that sounds straight out of PWG more so! I wanted the show to have almost a WrestleMania level line up, and so when I was looking for names for the Bucks to defend their titles against, I couldn’t think of a better pair than the FKA Kevin Steen and El Generico up against a couple of their pals. I am sure there’s a tonne of backstory and history that could be brought into the build to this and the match itself, but also I just think this match would be fucking brilliant. So let’s see what they/I can cook up…! And naturally, with the show being in MONTREAL you can be sure these 4 greats will have their finest working boots on!
John Cena vs Adam Copeland

Once More, With Feeling.
I just had to, at least one more time, have John Cena fight one of his greatest rivals. Two warriors approaching the end, looking to prove to one another, themselves, and everyone watching, that they can still go… lets see if they’re right… or not… In Canada no less…
Randy Orton vs Will Ospreay

One of the things that the WWF invasion angle simply couldn’t do, and didn’t do enough of in the aftermath (once the REAL WCW stars appeared on WWF/E programming) was make the most of what they had. More specifically, they didn’t do the DREAM matches we all wanted! So with this match, I am looking to do just that. A match we probably wont ever see in real time, I am doing here. I love both guys for their in-ring styles, albeit ultra-contrasting… I think the promos leading to this might hit the mark too, I imagine things getting a little prickly say in the build up… Lets see what both men do when it comes to the big showdown and who gains forward momentum heading into WrestleMania.
Cody Rhodes & Sting vs Roman Reigns & The Rock

Yes, I know… sounds MENTAL right? Well, let me explain the reasoning behind this one… So Cody won the Rumble, he’ll get his chance to FINISH THE STORY at WrestleMania… and he has chosen Roman as the champion he wants to challenge, but before then, they have this show, and a tag match. But who do they team with? Well given what is around the corner, both had promised to pick the absolutely best tag partner they could find! Roman went first with his reveal, telling Cody that blood really was thicker than water, and out came THE ROCK! In the weeks that follow, Rock and Roman talk shit on Cody and the Rhodes family, it seems obvious that Cody would pick his brother Dustin to tag with… that was until on Raw two weeks before the show, Dustin was attacked by The Rock and taken away in an Ambulance, he would no way be ready in time for Elimination Chamber. So Cody was left to scramble last minute, he even went to AEW SmackDown to try and get some old friends back on his side… But The Elite said no, CM Punk said his head was all over the place and he was focused on trying to win the Elimination Chamber and get his own spot on the WrestleMania card… But Punk did have someone that he thought he should talk to… Later we see Cody knocking on a door, and Darby Allin answers. He tells Cody that he has an idea… It’s reveal time, Rock and Roman stand in the ring at the end of the go home Raw for Elimination Chamber, and then out comes Cody, who charges to the ring, furious at the attack The Rock put on his brother. Cody and a steel chair simply aren’t enough to combat both The Rock AND Roman Reigns… That is until… the lights go out… and we here that incredible guitar solo play, the lights and smoke, crowd going insane as ‘Seek and Destroy’ blares out to signal the arrival of Cody’s tag team partner for the PLE… ‘IT’S STIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!!!!!!!’
Men’s Elimination Chamber match (winner faces Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship at WrestleMania): CM Punk vs MJF vs Samoa Joe vs Swerve Strickland vs AJ Styles vs Bryan Danielson

Every man in this match has been a former WWE or AEW Champion. A couple have done both even… So the way I see it, any of the 6 could go to Mania and challenge Omega and it be a BIG match… and a BANGER too! Punk seems to be a one man Elite-wrecking crew right now, so Kenny as the final target seems a fitting Mania match right? But what about MJF? Wouldn’t it be the ultimate FU to AEW and WWE to win the AEW title on WWE’s biggest show? Samoa Joe has done a tonne in his legendary career, but what about winning a world title at a WrestleMania? Swerve sees himself as the best, and he seems to be the one that got away from WWE, what a chance it would be to show WWE what they could’ve had if he was to be in a classic with Omega and win the AEW title in the process? And what about the two other former WWE Champions in the match… both AJ Styles and Bryan Danielson have their own history with Omega, and both have had their share of WrestleMania moments too… could more be on the card?
So that’s the line up, and my god, WHAT A LINE UP! So without any further or do… LETS FUCKING GO!!!
Elimination Chamber – Sunday February Week 3 (Montreal, Canada)
A champion’s performance from The Man, who will once again walk into WrestleMania with gold!

A shit end to a great match, as The Bucks escape with their titles. But this isn’t over… is it…?

BIG MATCH JOHN gets a huge win over one of his great rivals. Once again Cena beats The Rated R Superstar in Canada…

A hugely fast-paced encounter, with Orton being caught off guard. 1-0 to the BRUV!

A DREAM match won by Sting and the American NIGHTMARE!

He had to fight for it, but a few GTSs later and CM Punk WILL get his date match with Kenny Omega… or will he… ?

And there we have it, two blogs and ONE more PLE to go! Lots more stories to be told, and fun to be had… and shiny championships to be won… on the ROAD TO WRESTLEMANIA!

Josh.
