This is going to be… HEATED!

SummerSlam has historically been one of the more eventful and dramatic PPVs on the WWE calendar, and I plan on mine being no different. In fitting with the ‘summer blockbuster’ theme, I’ve made an effort for my show to be an all-star affair, such my main event is about as big a dream match as possible. And elsewhere on the card I have returns, debuts and a shot at ‘finishing the story’… 10 matches, all bangers, and I have all but 1 of them in full for you all to watch. So read on and enjoy my biggest PPV yet; SUMMERSLAM!

SUMMERSLAM (Nashville, Tennessee – Sunday, August Week 3)

I kick things off with a match that has been a long time coming. These two have gone back and forth, and now it’s time for the showdown. No more running for Austin Theory, he puts his money where his mouth is now against… HIM…

Carmelo Hayes defeated Austin Theory (C) to win the United States Championship

A long time coming indeed. Finally Hayes makes good on his immediate promise shown in his main roster debut month, when he reached the final of the King Of The Ring, and was one win away from being WWE Champion. But now HIM is CHAMPION!

Second on the card is my first of 3 Women’s championship matches, and I’ve tried hard with my women’s tag division… Not totally happy with how I’ve done it so far, but I’ve got a clear idea with the titles at least going forward, so lets see… But for now you have this…

Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriquez defeated Damage CTRL (Iyo Sky & Dakota Kai) (C) (With Bayley) to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

2 matches, TWO TITLE CHANGES! Funny I write this just days after this same team won these same titles (WWE stealing my ideas again…)…

Next we have a personal battle come to a head, a touch different to how WWE really did things… but it can’t NOT be fun to watch these two batter each other…

Edge defeated Finn Balor in a No Holds Barred match

Yes I beat Mr MITB… but I had him have to be beat the shit out of to lose. And it’s EDGE, come on! Quite enjoyed playing this one too. Let’s see what’s to come for both…

Next is the one match on this show that I didn’t actually play out (apologies, but I played this show on the same night at the SmackDown episode from London, so between getting him from work and that show starting I only had a limited amount of time)…

The Usos (C) defeated The New Day and Imperium in a three-way tag team match to retain the SmackDown Tag Team Championship

I’d of had this be a good, competitive match, but the reign of Jimmy and Jey is far from over, in my Universe anyway…

Next… it’s time to FINISH THE STORY… or IS IT…???…

And… well I just had to… If Seth Rollins is going to be WWE Champion at SummerSlam, then Seth Rollins has got to roll out with THE gear…

Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins (C) defeated Cody Rhodes (by COUNT OUT) to retain the WWE Championship

I loved how this match turned out, I was so pleased with it. It might even be the best match on this show (aside from the weird glitch that happened when Seth did the Stomp on the outside, so apologies for that… but after he puts Cody through the table, he does indeed then do the stomp…)… Now let me justify the finish… I needed Seth to retain the title, but I don’t want Cody taking a pin, so this is what I came up with…

To follow that it’s time for things to… happen…

(there was recently news that Uncle Howdy WILL be coming to the game as part of the next DLC pack on July 19th, but for now I’ve made do with a CAW version, which I think is pretty good to be fair…)

Braun has been haunted by each member of this dark and mysterious… ‘family’ … over recent weeks, but now it was time for him to try and rid himself of his own demons…

Uncle Howdy defeated Braun Strowman

So of course, the result was inevitable… but that was somewhat of a side-show… Howdy wins quite convincingly, with a NOTABLE finisher… and then after the match, I would have Rowan, Dutch and Vincent surround the ring to try and swarm Braun (who during the pre show had demanded that his tag team partner Ricochet leave the arena, as tonight was HIS fight, and HE had to end this…). Braun is able to fight off all 4 of his adversaries… Alexa Bliss then appears at the top of the entrance ramp… she glares at Strowman as he stares right back… Then the lights go out… and when they come back on… HE is stood behind Braun…

Of course the crowd would go WILD… He slowly takes off the mask for the big reveal (as if EVERYONE wouldn’t already know…), and Bray proceeds to down Strowman with a Sister Abigail, as Wyatt and the rest of his ‘family’ pose around him. Thus this is the debut of the completed… WYATT 6! Oh and for the record: Bray would be The Fiend, Bo Dallas (the IRL brother of Bray Wyatt) is Uncle Howdy, Bliss would act as Sister Abigail, Rowan would be Ramblin Rabbit, Dutch would be Huskus the Pig and Vincent is Mercy the Buzzard, that’s if you want an explanation of why I’ve picked these people to be in the group. Maybe I’ll actually characterize these people as the puppets eventually, and maybe I wont. But I intend on making Bray and the rest of the Wyatt 6 a top priority of mine in my Universe Mode. My big chance to do something different, fun and to finally give my favourite in Bray Wyatt a proper story with a beginning, middle and an ending.

Following on from that, we go to the SmackDown Women’s Championship, and the return to WWE PPV of FanTime megastar Mandy Rose.

(yes, if I ran WWE I’d be totally OK with her doing her thing. I maybe wouldn’t promote it on TV, but I wouldn’t fire her for it, if people really want to find that sort of content, they’ll seek it out anyway, so why not have your ‘independent contractors’ make money out of it… well, I could do a blog in itself about the treatment of their talent by WWE, but that’s for another time…).

Charlotte Flair (C) defeated Mandy Rose to retain the SmackDown Women’s Championship

Solid enough, and the result that made most sense. I’ve plans for Mandy following up from this, and for that championship… so stay tuned, but for now it’s The Queen that still reigns!

Next match was always going to be brutal, and I’m aware this sort of match wouldn’t make some fans happy, but the ends will justify the means, TRUST ME…

Brock Lesnar defeated Kevin Owens

Like I said, TRUST ME!!! I’ve plans VERY soon after this for Kevin Owens, and I’ve long term ideas for Brock to keep him hot too. But for now, Mr SummerSlam gets another big win…

For the semi main of this show, I wanted a star-studded affair that would be action-packed whilst also having a few different story-arcs…

Bianca Belair (C) defeated Bayley & Rhea Ripley & Becky Lynch in a fatal-4-way match to retain the Raw Women’s Championship

This just made sense going this way for lots of reasons, of which you’ll have to stay tuned for…

AND FINALLY, as I said for the biggest show of the summer, for the ‘summer blockbuster’… you got to have the BIGGEST of Big matches… and so here it is…

Roman Reigns (C) (with Paul Heyman) defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin to retain the World Heavyweight Championship

Result was always going one way and one way only, but I was happy with how it turned out. It did seem to play out like a Roman Reigns match would these days. I didn’t do anything after the match, my SummerSlam would close with Roman celebrating as I wanted to give Roman his big moment having just beaten one of the biggest legends in WWE history.

AND THAT, IS THAT! Really pleased with how my SummerSlam turned out, and really looking forward to where I’m going to take things going forward. My blogs are going to be a little more spread out next couple of months or so. Basically because I need to… have a life… ish… But for now that was SummerSlam, and stay tuned for what’s next…

Josh.
