So I’ve come to a realisation… this is becoming a chore. I don’t enjoy these blogs, especially the ones where I’m between PPVs, where I’m just typing up my ideas and playing them out on WWE 2K24. So… with that in mind, I’m not finishing the series right away, but I will be somewhat ‘speed-running’ it… my TV shows will be Bullet pointed from now on. The PPV matches or maybe even some big Raw/SmackDown I may still play out on the game and upload to YouTube etc. But gone are the times I’d write out segment for segment when saying what went down on my shows. And why not just end it right away? Well… I’ve some fun storylines that I want to see through basically. And now, I can get there a LOT LOT quicker… so… let’s get on with it shall we… even quicker than was planned!
Raw July Week 4
- KOTR Kevin Owens challenges World Heavyweight Champion Gunther for SummerSlam!
- The ‘Wyatt Sick6’ group takes shape (Bray, Howdy, Braun, Alexa, Nikki and now Rowan)…
- But Rowan is immediately attacked by Karrion Kross.
SmackDown July Week 4
- Mr MITB Roman Reigns ‘cashes in’ to face WWE Champion CM Punk at SummerSlam
- Montez Ford is helped in retaining his IC title by now former friend Angelo Dawkins
- Dakota Kai becomes number 1 contender for the WWE Women’s Title
Raw August Week 1
- Sami Zayn helps his friend Kevin Owens against Gunther and Drew McIntyre
- Charlotte & Bayley beat Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton & Miss MITB Rhea Ripley
- Karrion Kross continues to torment the Wyatt Sick6, with Scarlett attacking Nikki Cross
SmackDown August Week 1
- CM Punk beats Solo Sikoa, Paul Heyman promptly ‘calls Roman Reigns’
- Becky & Liv save Bianca Belair from Damage CTRL, but then get jumped by Fyre & Dawn
- A reunited Street Profits beat ‘The Family’, but are then attacked by Bronson Reed
Raw August Week 2
- Bray Wyatt reveals: Braun vs Kross, Bliss vs Scarlett and Howdy & Bray vs DIY all next week
- Kevin Owens and Gunther brawl after Drew attacked Sami, who was facing Ludwig Kaiser
- Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton beat Pretty Deadly, but are then jumped by the Viking Raiders
SmackDown August Week 2
- Roman calls out Punk, but he’s brawling with Jimmy, and drives away before getting caught
- Gallows & Anderson return, and immediately earn a tag title shot!
- Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan & Bianca Belair defeat Dakota Kai, Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn
Raw August Week 3
- Kross beats Braun, Scarlett beats Bliss, DIY beat The Wyatts for the tag titles thanks to Kross
- Kevin Owens is taken down by Imperium…
- Because Sami has just been pinned by Drew in a 6 man tag match…
SmackDown August Week 3
- Punk and Heyman have a promo together, and later Roman attacks Punk backstage
- Punk gets a phone call… and is SHOCKED and doesn’t believe what he’s been told
- Bronson Reed wins back the IC title from Montez Ford
Raw August Week 4
- Gunther beats his old rival Ilja Dragunov, with KO looking on
- Bray Wyatt challenges Karrion Kross for SummerSlam, NO HOLDS BARRED!
- DIY defending their tag titles vs Cody & Orton is set up for SummerSlam
SmackDown August Week 4
- Roman Reigns & CM Punk have an in-ring contract signing, with NO physicality
- Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson win the WWE Tag Team titles
- Carmelo Hayes challenges Bronson Reed to defend the IC Title against him at SummerSlam
So that’s how the new format will work. Maybe some weeks I’ll mention a run down of the other storylines I have going on, the ones that don’t get a mention in my run down of the weekly shows, maybe I will squeeze in more than 3 bullet points for some of the bigger Raws and SmackDowns… but for now I will let you know that…: Gigi Dolin and Cora Jade form a heel tag team after bonding through their brawls, Candice LeRae turns heel on Indi Hartwell, Bron Breakker goes on a TEAR on SmackDown and beats Trick Williams before Melo gets revenge, Bobby Lashley returns and takes down the dominant Omos, LA Knight finds himself with a litany of challengers for his US Title, Dijak goes on a tear and after showing his disappointment at Ricochet losing to Omos, he bides his time and then a couple weeks after destroys R-Truth backstage and is generally just a very ANGRY man!
Which leaves us nicely set up for SummerSlam with the following line up:
- CM Punk (C) vs Roman Reigns (with Paul Heyman) for the WWE Championship
- Gunther (C) vs Kevin Owens for the World Heavyweight Championship
- Bianca Belair (C) vs Dakota Kai for the WWE Women’s Championship
- Tiffany Stratton (C) vs Charlotte Flair vs Bayley for the Women’s World Championship
- Bray Wyatt vs Karrion Kross in a No Holds Barred match
- LA Knight (C) vs Jey vs Drew vs Seth vs Sami vs Ilja in a Ladder match for the US Title
- Bronson Reed (C) vs Carmelo Hayes (with Trick Williams) for the IC Title
- Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn (C) vs Liv Morgan & Becky Lynch for the Women’s Tag Titles
- DIY (C) vs Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton for the World Tag Team Titles
A pretty good show I think, based upon the card anyway. I am unsure if I will record the footage of all the matches, but I will likely play through most of them, given its a BIG 4 PPV, and maybe I’ll show you the best bits and see what I end up with. My priority is making sure these blogs are FUN to write, and I’ll only do what I want, OK?! I mean that in the nicest way possible, sorry readers if that came off as a bit aggressive ahahaha! Anyway… see you next time for MY SummerSlam!
Josh.
